Why compliance matters – AS/NZS 4602.1

The 2024 revision tightened luminance requirements and, for the first time, explicitly covers trousers and the lower half of coveralls under Class N and D/N. That means your whole outfit, not just the top half, now counts towards compliance.

Care & lifespan

- Wash below 60 °C on a gentle cycle; skip bleach and fabric softeners.
- Line-dry in the shade, direct sun accelerates fading.
- Inspect tape every six months; replace garments once colour or reflectivity dulls.
- Store clean and dry, away from oils or solvents that can attack the reflective layer.
